My fondest & most impactful memories of my cousin Glennis were formed over the summer vacations during our childhood years. Every summer Aunt Winnie & all her ‘younger clan’ went to visit her siblings in Berbice, so inevitably some of that time was spent at Aunt Betty’s – where Glennis, being the eldest child at home, was ‘second mom’ to her younger siblings. I admired her ability to seemlessly and adoringly do her best to meet their needs, always smiling, never complaining! And yet she was still able to have some fun times with us visiting cousins! Many times I wondered if I would ever be able to handle such responsibility with so much grace? Only in my early adult years, after I became a mother, did I really understand that Glennis had received the best training ever in the ‘home school’ of her mom, Aunt Betty. So yes Mikey, Bea & Dwayne, you were blessed with the best Mom ever, because she learnt first hand from your bestest grandma how to lovingly, patiently & joyfully care for her family!! And Father God blessed her with a meek & gentle, compassionate spirit, to face all her challenges with a formidable strength and sense of purpose which I am sure made Him smile, as she reflected those characteristics of Him.
Although we do not fully understand why her earthly journey has ended at this time, we need to ask Father God for more of His grace and faith to trust in His Omniscience – He sees waaaaaay beyond what we can and most certainly has a solid reason for His timing, which He will one day make clear to us all. Until then, Mikey, Bea, Dwayne, each of her siblings, carry on her legacy by daily living out those Godly characteristics she taught & demonstrated in your presence, and be comforted by Father God’s promise of the ‘new heavens and new earth, where there’ll be no more parting’…..
It was a joy being cousins with Gennis!💕💕🤗🙌🏽

I was saddened to hear of Glennis’ passing. We were batch mates at Lilian Dewar College. I remember her smile and laughter, and her calm presence. I appreciate the hospitality she showed to my older daughter and I when we visited Antigua in the mid-1980s.
My condolences to her family and close friends. May the wonderful hope of the resurrection comfort and strengthen you in the days and years ahead (Acts 24:15).

Certainly she has gone too soon. She was a wonderful and kind person. Her smile was like a light switch on in a dark room. We all attended Belladrum SDA Church together. Rest in Paradise Glennis. My heartfelt condolences to the entire family.

It is with sadden hearts that we mourn the loss of a dear friend and (so called sister and aunt). We will forever remember her for her love and kindness shown to us in many ways that we will never forget. This love will continue to abound with the rest of her children. Revelation 21; 3&4 is a sure promise of a resurrection from our God Jehovah.

SINCERE CONDOLENCES 💐 TO HER ENTIRE FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

The news of Glennis’ death was indeed a shock to me. As I sat to process the news, my mind began to reflect on the summers at Belladrum and the wonderful times my sisters and I shared there.
I could hear Glennis’ name being called by momma, and she did call her often, and her calm, gently, and prompt response. I remembered her smiling face and eyes. She was kind, caring, loving, and giving.
I remembered the time she visited us in Antigua and the laughter we shared as we reminisced on those childhood memories.
Those memories will remain with me forever. 💔💔

Losing my eldest sister has hit me harder than any death I have experienced in my family. Even the loss of my parents was not as shocking. I will really miss her. For those of us who knew her best, she was a most loving person. She made friends easily and never gave up on them. She was a repository of our childhood memories and I could always call on her to remind me of experiences from that time. I remember how she would find solutions to our childhood enigmas and would seem to us the most resourceful genius of the group. She was forgiving and almost childlike in her trust of others. At the same time she was very determined and did not give up on any project she was involved with. Whenever we got on the phone, I knew that we would be spending more that an hour on the call so I was careful to contact her or accept her calls when I had enough time to spend with her. She was loved and admired in every community she was a part of. I will truly miss my sister.

Dear Mama, I really miss you.

I miss your bright smile, your infectious laugh, your regular phone calls to simply check in on us in Antigua and long conversations filled with encouragement and childhood stories. I met you 3 years ago and you welcomed us into your Family with your loving arms wide open for me and my Boys. You are a Super Mom and your love felt by many was unconditional and special. I am so happy I met you and we all created amazing memories together as a Family. We love you Mama, you are forever in our hearts. As promised, I will love and continue to take care of your last heartbeat Dwaynee forever ❤️ Love Kwams, Malakai and Marlie

My heart aches for you Ma.
You brought me into this world
You fought tirelessly to give me the world
I remember when you worked three jobs just to make sure that we got by.
My goal was to work as hard as I could to make sure that our family never comes near that struggle again. My goal was to take you to tour the world. To build you a house in any city that you like — then you were just taken away.
So now I’m currently plagued with grief, pain, disappointment, and shock… However, I hold onto the unique bond that we shared. I’m so grateful to God that he made me your son; that he paired us together.
I’m sorry we didn’t get to say good bye.
I miss you dearly.
Love you Ma
